I am your guide in fixing your story problems and getting your screenplay ready for the world to see
I am a screenwriter like you. I’m not a produced screenwriter yet, because if I were writing scripts that are getting produced left and right, let’s be honest, I wouldn’t have enough time and financial need to read fellow writers’ scripts. But I have more than enough experience and training to help you better your screenplays while I still have the time. Here’s why:
I completed my B.A. and M.A. in Film & TV Production in 2004. And I know education isn’t everything. Writers become writers by writing.
My last screenplay ‘Off the Beaten Path’ was a Second Rounder at the prestigious Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition and is in the hands of potential producers right now. I wrote two documentary series that were broadcast on national television in Turkey. I was also a reader for AFF and I continue to support the festival circuit as a screener and script reader.
Two of the films I’ve worked on as a script consultant are Francis Annan’s ‘Escape from Pretoria’ announced to star Daniel Radcliffe and Sam Neill, and Erol Mintaş’s ‘Song of My Mother’ Winner of Best Film at 2014 Sarajevo Film Festival.
A member of The International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) and a Berlinale Talents Screenwriters alumna since 2009, I participated in international film festivals (Cannes and Berlin among others) as a film critic and served as a juror at national film festivals and my local BendFilm Festival in Oregon, USA. My next jury duty will be for Walla Walla Movie Crush!
I’m currently working on a small town mystery going into its second draft and a drama in development to be shot in Central Oregon in 2018. Locally you can find me script writing and assistant directing for The NW Collective.
Above all, I have a knack for this. So try me!
